Government Contracts to Small Business on the Rise
Government contracts to small business is increasing and that is good for the overall economy.
The federal government and the SBA is approaching a goal of 23% contracting dollars going to small business.

My company was recently awarded a small government contract, but the closer we get to meeting the 23% Congress is aiming for, I am hopeful those contracts will continue to grow!

The article says that the SBA created a program in 2000 to set aside federal contracts for women-owned businesses in 83 industries in which they have been under-represented in procurement. Since the Bush administration never saw this through, how bout the Obama administration? I wonder what happened to those 3000+ women-owned business owners waiting for their eligibility….
